School Days...

Madison started speech July 13th. Its just one day a week for the Summer. Mondays are hard for me since I babysit, but I knew If I took the summer class she'd get in for the fall one. So with Karl's help we are able to go! Maddi was a little nervous the first time, but by the time we left asked when she could go back. Then the next week was VERY nervous and even held back tears all the way there.. I tried telling her how much fun she had the time before, and I stay in the room with her. I think she thought it might be the doctor or dentist... as soon as Miss Barbra came out to the waiting room she changed and was comfortable.. Mom didn't lie after all! :) This last Monday she went in skipping..she was so excited! Its been really good.. I work with her in the Mornings and Karl does at night. We've found out that Dad is a much better teacher! lol. The summer classes have now ended. They still would like me to get her hearing tested. So we will be doing that before the fall one starts. We are going to have a busy Fall.. Maddi will have Speech one day a week & go to Miss Crystals(Hill) play group. I'm sending her there since she knows most of the kids, to make friends and to get her use to going somewhere without me so then next year for K4 she'll think its nothing! She'll only be 3 and going to some sort of school 3 days a week. It seems crazy.. I figure she will only benefit from it. Its going to make my life hectic, but thats ok! :)

Weekend in Atlanta

We went to Atlanta for the night. Got to do a lot of shopping and went to the aquarium! Tons of fun!

My Birthday Lunch

On July 16th....We went to Landrum for my birthday Lunch!

Then Karl, Maddi & I went to Red Robin for my free burger and ice cream! :) Then Karl had school so Maddi & I went shopping! yay! :) Over all it was a great day!

Mom's birthday in Charlotte

On July 9th...

My mom, Raelene & Kids, Rona, Ava, Maddi & I went to Charlotte for the night for her Birthday. Statyed at the courtyard, swam and went to the mall and ate at the Cheese cake factory.

Other than the fact that Rona & I got lost went 30 mins in the wrong direction! Which Karl still claims he told me the right way..;) It was a good night.

I got this in my email and thought it was pretty good.

Uncle D's hospital stay

My Brother Delan (Maddi calls him Uncle D) went to the hospital for a catheterization, where they found this left main artery to be 100% blocked and they put 2 stents in. Praise God they found out this way and not by having a major heart attack. Hes been having chest pains, but according to all the tests he has NOT had a heart attack. To have coronary heart disease you could have 6 things against you and he had 4 of them.. Smoker, bad eating habits, diabetic & family history. Hes doing good now, and says he can breath much better now than he has been able to in years..!

Wednesday went to Monkey Joes & had a Bday party for Grammy.

Thursday headed to Charlotte & spent the night.

Niemi Reunion

They thought it was too hot to be outside.

We had a Niemi Reunion. Which is my Dads moms side. So in memory of Deedee & my Dad. Most of my family, actually everyone except Teri came down. My mom took my camera around, we didn't get a whole lot of pictures. It was at East side church Friday night we had Pizza & Saturday (4th) chicken BBQ. Then we headed to Jan & Juha's for an AWESOME firework show. The BEST in the Upstate. Seriously I know that doesn't mean much since they don't know what fireworks are.. but they were good. There was even mention of them being comparable to Jaffrey! Also as you can see each family wore a different color T-shirt.

Madison's labs came back negative. He doesn't think there is anymore they can do. He wants us to just watch and wait. Hes kinda thinking it might be in her head just a little bit. Once we left the doctor she claimed her stomach hurt so I think he might be right just a little anyway.. ? At least its nothing serious! We are thankful for that!
